The backpack series

The Backpack Connection Series: Behaviors

The Backpack Connection Series was created by Technical Assistance Center on Social Emotional Intervention (TACSEI) to provide a way for teachers and parents/caregivers to work together to help young children develop social emotional skills and reduce challenging behavior.

Teachers/care providers/allied health professionals may choose to send a handout home when a new strategy or skill is or needs to be introduced to the child.  In the series Addressing Behaviors you will find information on:

  • How to Help Your Child Stop Biting
  • Understanding the Meaning of Challenging Behaviors
  • Giving Clear Directions
  • How to Help Your Child Stop Hitting and Pushing
  • Teachable Moments
  • How to Help Your Child Stop Whining
